If you’re recovering from religious trauma, spiritual abuse, looking for support in identity development, or are an artist or creative person seeking to synthesize your self-expression, we are here to help.

Therapy for trauma is one of our areas of expertise. We welcome adult adoptees, and those impacted by adoption, looking for a safe space to explore your experience, story, and identity. 

Our clients often come to us when they’re dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, issues with family systems, relationship problems, as well as religious trauma, and spiritual abuse.

Connecting to your intuition in therapy is one of our main goals. Through this introspective and depth-oriented work, we find a greater connection to ourselves and others. Healing from trauma, deepening connection, and being able to live your life authentically free is the ultimate goal.

What Is Intuition and Authentic Voice?

We believe intuition is the active process of finding greater clarity, connecting to your internal world, and developing an authentic voice.

It’s the ability to distinguish our own thoughts, needs, and boundaries amidst external pressures and expectations. 

Insight and intuition can feel unknown, challenging to connect to, or deeply scary after negative or harmful experiences. When healing from trauma, indoctrination, silencing, or a lack of safety, we need to connect to our insight and intuition more than ever. We are committed to helping you develop a greater sense of connection to your story, voice, and whole self. Therapy can help you find a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and depth on your journey. 

Authentic self-expression is the ability to live out of our intersections of identity with clarity and freedom. 

Often authentic self-expression and intuition are rejected, shamed, or simply not safe to express within high-control and high-demand environments. These include any environment or relationship where you need to conform to specific and rigid ways of being. Shame thrives in these spaces, causing a disconnect from your brain to your body, heart, and emotional self. We are here to support the reclamation of your authentic identity, freedom of expression, and intuition.

Find Healing After Religious and Spiritual Abuse

One area of our expertise is helping people who are survivors of religious trauma and spiritual abuse. We are committed to supporting your exploration and healing from adverse religious or spiritual experiences through prioritizing your autonomy, voice, body, and pleasure.

We’re not anti-religion or anti-spirituality. In fact, we’re the opposite. We want you to find your spiritual self in a way that amplifies your inner voice and authentic self-expression. We believe that religious and spiritual connections should not hurt, limit, or silence anyone’s true self or identity. 

There are a multitude of ways people find healing from adverse religious and spiritual experiences, as well as a wide spectrum of relationships that one can develop toward religion and spirituality after trauma and hurt occurs. We are committed to supporting your unique journey and destination - whether that does or does not include reclaiming a spiritual or faith practice. 

 

It is through a multi-faceted approach that you find your path toward healing religious trauma and spiritual abuse.

You can do this without sacrificing pleasure, consent, or autonomy. The process of honoring your experiences, building safety, deconstructing harmful beliefs and thoughts, and reclaiming or claiming for the first time various parts of ourselves is how we’ll do this work together.
