Creative Expression

At NobleTree Therapy, we believe that everyone is creative. Supporting people in reclaiming their creative selves with confidence is a passion of ours.

We work with a lot of people who practice creative expression in their day-to-day lives. We support those searching for their creative expression through finding their authentic voice and following their intuition.

Creativity can be expressed through many different forms – words, art, sculpture, music, dance, poetry, theater, etc. We find meaning and purpose from the act of giving our internal world dimension through the process of making.

Creative expression is important to all human beings. We’re all makers and creatures that need to find meaning.

One of our basic human needs is to feel like we can express ourselves fully. Through creative expression, we can see ourselves. It’s important to us at NobleTree Therapy to help you find your creative self and reclaim your creative confidence.

If you’re a performer or artist and find yourself stuck, having performance anxiety, or feeling blocked because freedom of expression has been stripped from your experience, therapy for creative expression could be right for you.

Maybe you’re experiencing external pressures. Perhaps the demands to provide for your needs through your art have made you lose the joy of artistic expression. It’s time to reclaim your confidence and find your creative self again.

At NobleTree Therapy, we help you access or reclaim the creative parts of yourself. When we spend time understanding who we are, how we feel, and how we make sense of the world, we can reconnect to our inner creativity. We’re here to help you find new ways to communicate who you are and how you feel.

Existential and Experiential Therapy For Creative Expression

All humans are creative beings – we have an internal need to make things and make meaning out of our experiences. Through the use of existential and experiential therapy, we help you explore, develop, and express your thoughts, meaning, and self. Tapping into our creativity allows us to express ourselves and our internal world.

Trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, stress, and imposter syndrome can be barriers to accessing the creative part of yourself. Therapy for creative expression supports your exploration of these barriers to find the freedom to tap into a deeper connection to yourself.

The creative process requires a felt sense of self. At NobleTree Therapy we want to help you find harmony and congruence in your creative self-expression.

Dissonance and incongruence occur when your internal identity doesn’t match your external expression. We work with you to resolve this dissonance. Often incongruence and dissonance are a result of trauma, lack of felt safety, or fear.

Using the modality of existential therapy, we’ll explore the big questions of life as they relate to our emotional world.

Some of these questions include: “Who am I?” “What do I actually believe?” “How do I make sense of the incongruence or dissonance of life?”

Through the modality of experiential therapy, we’ll support you in using space, time, and a variety of elements to foster the exploration and communication of your inner world.

Finding or reclaiming your creative self takes time and exploration. Let’s make creative expression first and foremost about you, how you see yourself, and how you tap into a connection with yourself.
