Frequently Asked Questions

Payment and Insurance:

Do you accept insurance?

NobleTree is an Out-Of-Network provider with all insurance companies. This means you are responsible for paying for sessions at the time of service. You may be able to utilize your insurance benefits by presenting your insurance company with a monthly statement for possible reimbursement for an out-of-network provider. We are happy to provide these monthly statements/superbills to any client who requests these forms. There are many advantages and benefits for choosing to private pay for therapy services. We would be happy to discuss these with you and help explore using your insurance benefits in this way!

How much does therapy cost?

Our standard session rates vary per provider, from $145 - $200 per 50 minute session. Initial intake sessions are slightly higher in price due to the extended session of 55-60 minutes.

Every person we work with receives a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. For questions or more information regarding your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or more information regarding session fees per provider, please reach out to us directly through our contact page.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, HSA cards, and all major credit cards for services.

Do you offer lower rates or sliding scale spots?

We offer a limited amount of sliding scale payment slots based upon financial assistance needed. These spots are offered on a first-come-first-served basis and may be filled at the time of inquiry.

About Sessions:

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

In our first session together our therapists will focus on understanding what is currently going on in your life, asking lots of questions regarding your history, and seeking to understand your story. Our goal is to get a snapshot of what is presently impacting you, while developing a strong understanding of you and your story. You will be met with compassion, care, and openness to whatever you are bringing in. In the second and third sessions we will continue developing a supportive working relationship, seeking to understand your story, gather significant family information, and formulate goals for working together.

How do we meet for sessions and how long are they?

All of our sessions, at this time, are conducted through an online HIPAA compliant teletherapy service called SimplePractice. This is a very convenient, accessible, and secure way to access therapy. You will receive a reminder email before each session that provides the link to access the secure teletherapy session. You are able to access the link either on a desktop or mobile device (mobile devices require an app download - “Telehealth by SimplePractice”).

What do I need to do prior to the first therapy session?

Prior to your first session, you will receive an email with a link to your client portal. Through this online portal you will be able to complete all of the intake documents online, prior to our first meeting together. We request that you complete these forms at least two days prior to our first scheduled session, so that we have time to read through it before we meet. These forms usually take about 15 minutes to read through and complete. We welcome any questions about the therapy process, our style, etc. so feel free to bring any questions to your first session!

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens and sometimes you need to cancel an appointment. Our cancellation policy requires 48 business hours notice if you are needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us enough time to offer the spot to another client who may need it. If a cancellation is made within that 48 business hour window, the session fee will be charged.

What does NobleTree value and stand for?

At NobleTree we believe all humans are beautiful, important, and deserve to be honored. We value and honor all races, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, countries of origin, abilities, religions, ethnicities, and bodies.

  • We are LGBTQIA+ affirming and seek to support people in their preferences, identity, and pleasure.

  • We are committed to recognizing systems of power, privilege, and oppression in our own lives, as well as how they may impact the therapist/client relationship. At NobleTree we are committed to not only acknowledging these systems of power and oppression, but actively working to dismantle them in and outside of the therapy room.

  • We believe religious and spiritual expression, community, and participation should not hurt, but rather should be a place of autonomy, respect, safety, and depth. We honor, and respect the religious/spiritual expression of each of our clients. We are not anti-religion or anti-faith. We believe in the power of safe and autonomous religious/spiritual practices.
